I am a dab hand at using InDesign and I love getting into Photoshop. I teach students both of these along with Audition; plus I have dabbled with Premiere and After Effects...but Illustrator has always been a bit of a mystery and I have got by without it, but in the past few weeks I have been trying to get to grips with it.
The main reason is to develop our new branding for this little project. so I have worked up some artwork and I am pretty proud of the finished effect.
Adventures in T-shirts original artwork
I started with some original artwork sketched out in pen, this was based on a poor attempt and logo work in a Tumblr I set up quite a few years ago. In fact the overall ideas of my branding has been tumbling around in my head for a while and has come out in various ways. Once I had that original in Illustrator I traced the T-shirt, I did this free hand with a mouse, pretty difficult and I am going to have to invest in some more kit if I continue, but pretty pleased with the final result.
I was able to use a hand written style font called Streetlight and this I changed to outlines to customize for my design.
